Sacriston Surgery

Sacriston Surgery serves the whole of Sacriston as well as its surrounding areas including Witton Gilbert. Our team includes seven GPs, three nurses, a health care assistant, phlebotomist as well as our practice manager, administration and reception staff.

We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for children and pregnant women, Coronary Heart Disease, diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma sufferers and for patients needing minor surgery.

At Sacriston Surgery, we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence. We feel it is important you know whom you are speaking to, so our practice staff wear a name badge and identify themselves on the telephone.

Sacriston Surgery is a ‘training practice’. This means doctors wanting to enter general practice spend six months with us in order to gain the experience they need to become family doctors. As a training practice, your medical records may be used for educational purposes.

If you live in our practice area and would like to register with us, please complete one of our registration forms that are available from our reception. On the form, you will be able to say which practitioner you would prefer to see. However, you will be registering with the practice rather than an individual GP.

Patient Representative Group

Our Patient Participation Group is encouraging patients to give their views about how the practice is doing. They would like to be able to ask the opinions of as many patients as possible and are asking if people would like to provide their email addresses so that they can contact you by email every now and then to ask you a question or two. Are you interested in leaving your email contact details? We are always seeking new members to join our patient participation group. If you would like to be actively involved with the changes in the NHS, either by attending meeting or  email your contact details to the practice manager, Martin Bell, on 0191 371 0232, or email him at martin.bell1@nhs.net Your contact details will only be used for this purpose and will be kept safely.
