The main worship service is on Sunday mornings at 9:15am. This is an Anglican Church and part of the Durham North Team ministry. Healing services are held sometimes. The church is always open in the week and offers a warm welcome to all visitors.
The wider community enjoy church, churchyard and Witton Dene in the Breathing Space Project, led by a trained project officer.
The church and churchyard are very beautiful and well worth a visit. The church dates from 1170. It is dedicated to St Michael and All Angels, with patronal festival on 29 September.
